I’m Juraj Bohus, a filmmaker, educator, and creative maker exploring how movement, design, and observation shape the way we experience the world.
My films have screened at international festivals and were recognized by the Student Academy Awards. My most recent feature film was released theatrically in Slovakia and is currently available on Netflix.
But filmmaking is only one part of my work.
Over time my practice has expanded into something broader: a small creative studio where ideas move between observation, philosophy, and making.
Sculpting Velocity
Sculpting Velocity is my ongoing creative studio and journal.
It is where I explore how ideas take physical form, through objects, spaces, machines, and moving images.
Projects within Sculpting Velocity include:
designing and prototyping watches
exploring transportation and vehicle design
architectural experiments and spatial interventions
documentary films about craft and making
narrative storytelling centered on movement and presence
Each project begins the same way: with observation, followed by reflection, and eventually building something tangible.
Sculpting Velocity is not a single discipline , it is a process.
Observe → reflect → design → build.
Focus With Your Eye
Focus With Your Eye is a community practice built around walking and learning to see.
Through photo walks and small gatherings, we explore the city with attention — noticing architecture, light, rhythm, and the quiet energy of objects in space.
While Sculpting Velocity is my personal studio, Focus With Your Eye is a shared experience.
FlareSpirit
FlareSpirit began as a film and media production company, but it has gradually evolved into a broader creative platform that brings together the different strands of my work.
Across film, design, and community projects, the goal remains the same:
to shape ideas into meaningful form through attentive observation and making.
Creating from presence.
